Voxal Voice Changer is a neat small application designed to help you disguise, change, or modify your voice in the most creative ways for the most varied purposes.

The program comes with a comprehensive set of profiles that will turn your voice into a new funny, childish, scary, or male/female voice, to name but a few.

Actually, what makes this tool fun to have installed on your system is the possibility of creating your own voices, your own vocal effects, by combining and tweaking any of the filters provided. You can both edit existing profiles or create your own by adding and playing around with the settings of any of the vocal effects listed. These include a 3-band equalizer, a pitch shifter, a compressor, or an amplifier, as well as wah-wah, vibrato, tremolo, reverb, echo, and distortion effects, among others. Each of these filters allow for customization, which makes the number of possible combinations innumerable.

You can apply any of the existing filters, as well as your own creations, either to an existing speech recording or to your own voice while speaking. Thus, you can use Voxal Voice Changer to disguise your voice while making a phone call through your PC, when talking to your friends via Skype, or while playing with them your favorite online game. Likewise, you can use all these funny, scary, childish, or male/female voices to add a creative touch to your videos.

Both the possibilities and the applications of the program are endless, and they can be enjoyed by anyone. The program’s interface and the way it works make it suitable for all users.

How do you remove echo from Pitch Shafter?

I tried re-installing this over and over. I tried to submit a report to technical support about my problem, but they only help you if you purchase something. The thing is, I can't change an entire sound file with Voxal. The ending is cut off of it after processing. The only way I found to get around this is to first add some silence after the file (3 minutes works for all but the largest sound files) and then processing it, removing whatever silence is left at the end of the audio file. This is a pain in the neck. I don't know if this is some limit imposed for the purpose of making this a demo version, but I have found absolutely nothing to say either way. Whatever the case, I can find some truly free freeware voice changers somewhere else.

I think this one is fun. I use the pixie, male, and chipmunk voice the most. My friends get a good kick out of it. I have a USB mic and it works just fine. I wish there was a way to get more voices though.
