Voxal Voice Changer

Modify, change, and disguise your voice in any application that uses a mic.

  DOWNLOAD

As its name implies, Voxal Voice Changer allows you to change or modify your original voice. You can use this function for different purposes, for example, when playing online, to record audio for presentations, or just for fun.

The program is easy to use. Once you have opened it, you can choose the voice filter you want to use. There are a huge amount of voices that range from chipmunk and cartoon, to AM radio or stadium announcer. If you want to hear your modified voice in real time, then you need to use the program together with another application, such as Skype or your default online playing engine.

You can also record your voice or use a prerecorded voice file, and then apply the filter to change it. Also, it is possible to add a background noise and edit each of the filters so you can achieve the exact result you are looking for.

Another interesting feature is the Synthesize option. It lets you write a text and convert it into a vocal file. Then, you can apply your desired filter as usual. This feature is useful for recording background spoken commentaries for videos or slideshows, among other things.

The program is free to download and use, and there are Plus, paid-based versions for home or commercial use, whose costs are rather affordable. You can get them at the developer's site.

How do you remove echo from Pitch Shafter?

I tried re-installing this over and over. I tried to submit a report to technical support about my problem, but they only help you if you purchase something. The thing is, I can't change an entire sound file with Voxal. The ending is cut off of it after processing. The only way I found to get around this is to first add some silence after the file (3 minutes works for all but the largest sound files) and then processing it, removing whatever silence is left at the end of the audio file. This is a pain in the neck. I don't know if this is some limit imposed for the purpose of making this a demo version, but I have found absolutely nothing to say either way. Whatever the case, I can find some truly free freeware voice changers somewhere else.

I think this one is fun. I use the pixie, male, and chipmunk voice the most. My friends get a good kick out of it. I have a USB mic and it works just fine. I wish there was a way to get more voices though.
